My assignment for 2011 : a 365 days project with 52 themes. Each week I should post at least one photo. The themes for 2011 are :
Better late then never so I’ll have to make for the first three themes : a New Cold Breakfast 😉
If anybody has a suggestion on how to picture the week theme feel free to show me an example.
Some pictures of my other travels.
In june we want to Ireland to do some cycling. Some impressions of the beautifull landscape can be found here
After 18 days the Indian adventure comes to an end.
The courses where given, the knowledge was transfered, the colleagues are eager to start using their new found knowledge. Thanks for all the nice moments and gifts. In a few weeks some of you will come to Belgium and I hope you love your stay here as much as I did in India. Thanks to you all for reading, listening, viewing my blog.
I’ll have to find a new adventure for this blog (closer to home ;-)), all ideas are welcome.
Some pictures of the airport in India :
Videos I shot around a bus station and during the bus ride :
To give an impression on the auto riksjas in India and the traffic some videos :

I`ll tell you the whole story of our last Sunday another time but here are already some pictures about the fort in Vellor and the surroundings of the golden temple. Unfortunately it was not allowed to take pictures inside this temple. To give you an idea of the size I added a picture from google.
Also this weekend we are on the road visiting temples. In kanshipuran we have visited three temples.after our visates we drove to vellore by non airco bus. The seats were very close together and not made for tall people. Luckily it was only two hours in a full packed bus (indian style) to vellore 😉
Because we missed (riksja driver drove in the wrong direction) the birthday party of his one year old son, an Indian colleague invited us to his home. After parking our shoes at the front door we got a flower necklace and red dot on our forehead to welcome us to their home. We were given original Belgium french fries and mayonnaise and an Indian sweet which were very good. We presented our gifts to their playful little boy who was more interested in the colorful packaging material then in the crocodile ;-).
After admiring the nice photo-book of the birthday party we also noted a `happy birthday` and `best wishes` in the birthday party guest-book.
We also took some pictures of the hostess playing an Indian guitar (Tablature).
Before we left their home we were presented a gift for our wives, a very nice necklace.
I never felt more welcome in a home especially realizing I only met this colleague two weeks ago.
As you can see from the pictures the hotel is very nice and you have a good view of the city.
I’ll add some pictures during the rest of my stay.
